I am a professional Astrologer in Cape Town, South Africa. I have studied Astrology since the age of 11 in 1974, and after graduating with a BA in Psychology at Wits (1983), finally began practicing as a full-time Astrologer in 1989. I take a spiritual approach to Astrology, using the tools of traditional Western astrology and Vedic astrology, using my psychology degree to help use the information in a positive and affirmative way. But I have no room for the new age fluff and poor abuse of astrology that is practised widely today! I also have a special interest in Medical Astrology - I was initiated as a Swazi Sangoma in 1982 at the age of 19, and since living in the Cape I have furthered his study of African healing and spiritual traditions under the guidance of Xhosa healers. Astrology is a powerful diagnostic tool and guide for the herbal practitioner. I am the author of Soul Talks (DoubleStorey 2004) and Cycles of Life (Llewellyn, 2005). I also self-published a coupe of small books , A Meditator's Manual (1990) and Understanding Reincarnation (1991). I've written a wide variety of articles for most major South African journals, magazines and newspapers, made two meditation CDs as well as a series of computer programs for Astrologers. I have a regular radio show, “Cosmically Speaking” with Lisa Chait on Cape Town radio station Cape Talk as well as a monthly slot on SABC 3’s “Free Spirit.” I lecture extensively around the country on a variety of metaphysical subjects.
